Sometimes a plain, undecorated pair of scissors just won't cut it (sorry, couldn't help myself).
I've made myself a mini, foldable pair of scissors for my craft bag and have made a few as gifts for friends in their favorite colours. They're kind of adorable and actually really useful.

Materials
- A pair of scissors you wish to makeover
- 4 ply cotton yarn in your desired colour
- 3mm crochet hook
- 3mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- A tapestry needle
- A tapestry needle
Optional: for a fun effect, use two different coloured yarns.
Steps
1. Create a slipknot.
2. Secure to scissor grip with a slipstitch.
3. Half double crochet around scissor grip all the way to the end of scissor grip. Cut yarn approximately 10cm from hook.
4. Fasten off then sew the yarn end into your work.
5. Repeat for the other scissor grip.
