Summary
Narrated by Joaquin Phoenix and dubbed The Vegan Maker, Earthlings documents mans inhumane treatment of animals for the use of pets, food, clothing, entertainment and research.

Where do I begin? I knew it would be intense but nothing could prepare me for the disturbing footage in this film. I had been thinking about taking the step from Vegetarian to Vegan for a while and became determined to find out more about where exactly our food comes from. Hidden cameras reveal the true cruelty behind the production of meat, dairy and eggs. Some of the images will forever be burnt into my memory. Though this film brought me to tears and I spent most of it looking away, I'm glad I've watched it. Knowing what I know now, I could never choose to use animal products.

The film delivers a powerful message. If you are interested in educating yourself on where our food comes from and you can bring yourself to watch it, it will no doubt be life-changing.

"Ignorance is the speciesist's first line of defence, yet it is easily breached by anyone with the time and determination to find out the truth"

"It is not the inability to find out what is going on as much as a desire not to know about facts that may lie heavy on one's conscience that is responsible for this lack of awareness"

Have you watched Earthlings or are you thinking of watching it? If so, what's your reason for watching it?
