Recharge on the go at Haymarket's freshest, healthiest takeaway joint with Brew Street's cold pressed juices, fresh rice paper rolls, nourishing soup and indulgent raw vegan sweets.

Where I work there isn't a great selection of good food on "our side" of Central Station. The other side of Central Station in Sydney (Surry Hills) is known for it's great food although most won't make the trek unless it's for a special occasion lunch or for after work drinks.
Thankfully Brew Street has recently opened on Our Side of Central and injected a much needed dose of great food with their fresh, organic whole food menu, cold pressed juices and teas.

The menu is a mix of cold pressed juices, organic teas, raw salads and cakes. A variety of options that will all have you feeling good knowing you've grabbed a quick and healthy lunch for under $10.00 whilst leaving little to no footprint on the environment (most packaging is recyclable or biodegradable and all ingredients are plant-based).

Orange, Carrot and Ginger, $4.50
The Cold Pressed Juices are full of flavour. Choose one of the juice mixes off the menu or they may even make up a mix just for you. The best mix I've had was Watermelon, Strawberry and Orange with a hint of mint.
Juices are $4.50 each. Return your jar on your next visit and you'll get 50c off your next purchase.

Kali spring rolls, $6.00
Kali Spring Rolls - Alfafa sprouts, avocado, lettuce, kale, carrot and sweet chilli sauce.
Brew Street's spring rolls are super fresh and are made up of a great mix of textures and flavours. Ingredients will differ depending on what's in season though they're always fresh and filling. The dipping sauces are pretty ace too.

Choc Mint Cake, Carrot Cake with lemon coconut creme, Chocolate Grenache Tart
What keeps me coming back to Brew Street is the amazing raw cakes - all made on the premises by the owner who has an extensive history as a pastry chef. These cakes are to die for, especially the Choc Mint Cake made at my request. Yes, they take requests! Get onto it already!
The underpass between Central Station and Haymarket where Brew Street is located hasn't seen much luck for previous businesses with a high turnover of new cafes, restaurants and retail stores that usually only last for a few months. Here's hoping that Brew Street can break that curse.

Wow this looks like a great place! Wish we had a place like it in Vancouver. I'm always amazed how great I feel after having a fresh juice!
ReplyDeletePopping over from the EBT...
I love raw cakes! I sort of fool myself into thinking that they're lower in calories :P I went to a place in Melbourne recently that was vegan and I think you'd love it! I'm putting it up tomorrow ;)
ReplyDeleteHahaha I do the same thing!
DeleteOh awesome! I'll check it out tomorrow :D
I love Vietnamese style rice paper rolls!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, Germans love their meat, so the vegan movement has yet to
take hold in my part of the world...
