I visited Glass Brasserie for a night of fine dining to celebrate a friend's 21st birthday celebration. Our group met in the Wine Bar for drinks and canapés. The bubbly was delicious and plentiful and the canapés were indeed fine. I was identified as the token vegan (amongst the gluten free and vegetarian folk) and was surprised by the amount and standard of canapés made especially for me. The stuffed zucchini flowers, tomato salsa and beetroot salad with beetroot hummus was impeccably presented and was flavoursome to match.

The beetroot salad was by far my favourite dish of the night. The colours and flavours work so well together, it's like a work of art on a plate.
Wild Mushroom Risotto with corn and asparagus, $34.00
Mushroom risotto with a twist - corn and asparagus add a nice flavour and texture to the light yet filling risotto.

Selection of sorbets, $14.00
There is one vegan option for dessert at Glass Brasserie. The classic Selection of Sorbets.
While the strawberry, passionfruit and coconut (my fave) sorbet were delicious it would be nice to see a few more vegan dessert options on the menu. Especially after seeing some of the other desserts on offer!
Like this Green Tea Pannacotta, mandarin custard and snow egg, sour cream sorbet ($19.00) that was decorated especially for the birthday boy and girl.
The staff are extremely knowledgable when it comes to the food and wine menus, they provide great bar and table service and are overly accommodating when it comes to dietary requirements.
Glass Brasserie hosts events which can be found on their What's On page on their website. Some events include cultural themed menus, Christmas Lunch and pre-show dinner specials for theatre productions nearby.
I will be back again. Maybe even for the Christmas themed three course menu on Christmas Day!
