Recipe: Christmas Candy Cane Chocolate Bark

Need a last-minute homemade gift idea for Christmas? This recipe has got you covered. It's quick, easy and looks so cute even the Grinch will want a taste.

Somehow Christmas has the habit of sneaking up on us. It seems like not that long ago we were breaking for last Christmas and New Years..how did this happen?

I always dream up these elaborate plans in my head of what I will make and bake for Christmas then before I know it I've run out of time. It's times like this when I want a quick, foolproof recipe that looks cute enough to gift. This recipe is exactly that and it's so easy it feels like cheating. I almost wouldn't call it a recipe but a How-To or an Easy Edible Gift Idea. Using Whittaker's Dark Chocolate for the base is almost cheating, and we could make our own chocolate, but this is so easy and tastes ridiculously sweet and rich. Whatever you wanna call it, it's delicious, looks great and your friends and family will love it.

Makes 1 block

INGREDIENTS
- 1 block Whittaker's 50% Dark Chocolate
- 9-10 mini candy canes, broken into bite-sized pieces

RECIPE
1. Melt dark chocolate (I melted 1 block of Whittaker's Dark Chocolate in the microwave for 1.5 minutes).
2. Pour into a lined baking tin then immediately decorate with candy canes.
3. Refrigerate until set (at least 1 hour).

Serving Suggestions
- Box or wrap either an entire block or cut into shards ready to gift.
- Cut into shards and use to decorate cakes, cupcakes, slices, etc.
- Serve on a platter garnished with candy canes.
