GF Garden Goodness Burger (ask for no cheese or mayo) $11.50
Plus sweet potato chips and zucchini chips
Not long ago I met with friends in Parramatta to catch up over lunch. We did a spot of shopping then needed to choose somewhere to eat that had something for everyone. After being turned down by numerous restaurants (many didn't even have 1 vegan option!) I did a quick Google search and found out that Grill'd is surprisingly quite Vegan friendly.
Grill'd, Parramatta is conveniently located inside the Westfield shopping centre amidst the cinemas and various restaurants (top level). There's also a chain on Church Street in Parramatta, the main restaurant strip of the suburb.
After ordering at the counter, take a seat and the food will be brought to your table. It all has a very casual and social vibe. The sense of community is emphasised by the Local Matters initiative, their community donation program - with every purchase, customers receive a token. With that token you can then choose to support one of 3 local groups by adding your token to that groups jar in-store. I'm a sucker for the animal charities!
The Garden Goodness Burger was light and tasted healthy. The zucchini chips and sweet potato chips were so deliciously crunchy and went well with the tomato relish. Overall it was good and I'd probably go back for the chips alone.
