During my trip to Brisbane last week I was walking from cafe to cafe looking for almond milk, as one often does, when I came across Kiss the Berry - The Acai Specialists. The store looked fresh and inviting and not only did they offer coffee with almond milk but they were dishing up these amazing looking smoothie bowls. They looked so good I ended up getting a smoothie bowl instead of that coffee I was looking for.
Warm Apple Crumble Bowl, $12.00
Warm Apple Crumble Bowl (a seasonal special)
Blend | organic acai, apple, banana, cinnamon, apple juice
Toppings | handmade granola, Coyo coconut yoghurt, coconut flakes, stewed apple
Price | Regular $12, Large $15.50
Make it vegan | Ask for it vegan and the granola will be replaced for buckinis
This bowl was my first smoothie bowl from Kiss the Berry. It was warm, sweet and delicious. It actually made my morning. The oats, coconut flakes and buckinis provide a much needed textural contrast from the smoothie and coconut yoghurt and it was so filling I couldn't finish it. I did go back for more at lunch though..
Snickers Delight, $12.50
Blend | organic acai, banana, raw cacao powder, almond butter, coconut water, almond milk
Toppings | handmade granola, banana, coconut, raspberries, raw cacao nibs
Price | Regular $12.50, Large $15.50
Make it vegan | Ask for it vegan and the granola will be replaced for buckinis
Another amazing smoothie bowl from Kiss the Berry, the Snickers Delight bowl wasn't as chocolatey as I expected it to be but it was still tasty and filling. Chocolately, bananary, coconutty goodness - yum!
The Odyssey Project Bowl, $12.50
The Odyssey Project Bowl (a seasonal special)
Blend | organic acai, raw cacao, banana, cold drip coffee, almond milk
Toppings | handmade granola, banana, chocolate coconut yoghurt, strawberries, hazelnuts
Price | Regular $12.50, Large $15.00
Make it vegan | Ask for it vegan and the granola will be replaced for buckinis and request almond milk in place of skim milk
The Odyssey Project Bowl was hands-down the best smoothie bowl I tried from Kiss the Berry during my week in Brissie. It was the perfect combination of sweet, creamy and healthy.
Overall, KSB is great for grabbing something quick and healthy and everything is guaranteed to be delicious. I'll be back for sure next time I'm in town.
