A Custom Blanket for Ally

I am very excited to start on my next project - a custom, king size, crochet granny square blanket for Ally Kay. Ally found the image below while searching the net and has asked me to recreate it for her. For me, projects like this are the most rewarding. I get to create colourful, hooky goodness and it is going to make someone so happy.



I'm not sure about the original source of this image. If you find out please let me know.


Step One: Buy yarn - look at all of these colours! This is just some of the yarn I'll be using for this blanket.  
Step Two: Make squares. This is the time consuming part..stay tuned for an update.

    I love all the colors! Are you going for a similar pattern for each square or uniform patterns in different colors?

      Every square on this blanket will have a different pattern and different colours, it's going to be so colourful :)
