A Winter Wedding

Last weekend we took a 6 hour drive to Armidale in NSW for the wedding of my sister-in-law Danielle. It was nice to get away from the suburbs for a few days and see the country side. Life seems to go quicker in Sydney. From the moment we saw those rolling hills and grazing animals everything seemed to slow down a little. The further we got from Sydney the colder it became as well. It has definitely got to be the coldest wedding I have ever attended, a few guests said they saw it snow the night before the big day! Fleece lined stockings, thermals and beautiful coats saved the day.
It was an early start getting up at five to get ready then drive over to Petersons Winery to do the make up for Danielle, her four bridesmaids and gorgeous flowergirl. The girls got pampered whilst sipping on champagne and listening to wedding related music(Bruno Mars "Marry You", "Chapel of Love").
The reception which took place at Echidna Gully was full of surprises including the bride and groom arriving via helicopter and a spectacular display of fireworks to end the night. Congratulations to Danii and Matt!

I hope you all enjoy these pictures.

  1. How beautiful! I got married in the summer, but I think winter weddings are so special because not many people do them (not in the States, anyway). She looked gorgeous!
